Prof. Lan Guo

Dr Lan Guo, born in china, 14st October 1962, achieved her MD at the Sun Yat-Sen university, 1984 and her PHD of the Cardiac Rehabilitation at the Guangdong Cardiovascular Institute, 2002.
She has been the Consultant Physician and the Director of Cardiac rehabilitation department of Guangdong Cardiovascular Institute, Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital since 1995 till now.
During her academic tenure, she acted as the Chairman of the Professional Committee of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation in Chinese Medical Doctors Association, the vice chairman of the Cardiovascular Professional Committee in Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, the former chairman of Psychosomatic and Behavioral Medicine Society of Guangdong Medical Association, the vice Chairman of Cardiovascular Society of Guangdong Rehabilitation Medical Association and the editor of the Chinese Journal of Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Medicine.
The main focus of her studies are the effects of Cardiac rehabilitation and secondary prevention of CAD, myocardial infarction rehabilitation, Stroke rehabilitation, anti-coagulation following up for patients after Heart valve surgical repair or replacement and the psychological problem of heart disease patients. She also published the book known as the Exercise guideline of cardiac rehabilitation and Exercise-Based Cardiac Rehabilitation.
