Prof. Xiaoping Meng

Fujian province “Minjiang Scholars Incentive Plan” distinguished professor, Fujian “Eyas Program” young top-notch talent, Member of the Standing Committee of Young Working Committee of Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine; M.Sc. (Medicine) from Yonsei University, Korea; Ph.D. (Medicine) from Tongji University, China. Fluent in written and spoken English. Mainly involved in the research of Wnt signaling pathway and its receptors LRP5/6, as well as their biological functions in diseases. Recent research results with significant clinical importance have been published in numerous high-impact journals such as Nature Communications, Circulation, and Clinical Cancer Research as first author or corresponding author. Among these, the key discovery that Wnt receptors LRP5/6 can robustly inhibit tumor migration won the First-place award in the 2018 Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education's Outstanding Scientific Research Achievement in Higher Educational Institutions. Main coordinator and grant recipient of more than 2 projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as the Fujian Province Outstanding Youth Program from the Natural Science Foundation of China.
